Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
This policy applies to consumer purchases from Telesheds Ltd. We do not offer discretionary change-of-mind returns outside your statutory cancellation rights, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
1. Cancelling an online or telephone order
For eligible online and telephone purchases, you may cancel your order before delivery and up to 14 days after the day you receive your goods, without giving a reason.
You must clearly notify us of your decision to cancel within this period. Email info@telesheds.co.uk, call 01462 671123 or write to our address below. Please include your name and order details.
Unless we agree to collect the goods, you must send them back within 14 days of notifying us of cancellation. Simply refusing a delivery does not, by itself, clearly notify us that you wish to cancel.
2. Bespoke and personalised orders
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised. We will identify any applicable exception before you order.
For these orders, we do not accept change-of-mind cancellations or returns unless we agree otherwise in writing. Please check your dimensions, specifications and access requirements carefully before ordering.
A standard building is not automatically exempt simply because it is manufactured after the order is placed. This exception does not affect your rights where goods are faulty or not as described.
3. Return arrangements and costs
For change-of-mind cancellations, you must pay the direct cost of returning the goods where we disclosed this responsibility before purchase. For buildings that cannot normally be returned by post, we will provide the return cost or a reasonable maximum estimate before you order.
Please contact us to coordinate the return of large buildings. Collection is not automatically included in free outbound delivery. Any collection service and its charge must be agreed with us.
Please protect goods adequately during storage and transport and return all supplied components and accessories. Original packaging is helpful but is not a condition of exercising statutory cancellation rights.
4. Condition of returned goods
You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. Where legally permitted, we will deduct from your refund any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
This may include loss in value caused by assembly, painting, treatment, drilling, modification, use or damage beyond necessary inspection. Any deduction will reflect the actual reduction in value rather than a fixed restocking charge.
5. Refunds for change-of-mind cancellations
For valid statutory cancellations, we refund the purchase price, subject to any lawful deduction, and the standard outbound delivery charge if paid. Additional charges for premium delivery are not refundable above the cost of standard delivery.
Unless we have offered to collect the goods, we may withhold your refund until we receive the goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever happens first. We will issue the refund within 14 days of that date.
If we have offered to collect the goods, or no goods have been supplied, we will refund you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice.
Refunds are made to the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise. No refund processing fee applies.
6. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Please check your order on delivery and report any concerns promptly. Provide your order details, a description of the issue and photographs where possible so we can investigate. Failure to report an issue immediately does not remove your statutory rights.
Where goods are faulty, not fit for purpose or not as described, you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This normally includes a 30-day short-term right to reject, starting when the applicable delivery and installation requirements have been met.
We will cover reasonable return or collection costs where goods do not meet your statutory rights. Please contact us to coordinate arrangements.
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, customer alterations, incorrect installation by others or failure to follow appropriate care instructions. This does not exclude responsibility for an existing defect or an issue for which we are legally responsible.
7. Installation services
Where a separately contracted installation service has a statutory cancellation period, we will obtain your express request before starting work during that period.
If you then cancel, we may charge a proportionate amount for work already completed, where the required information and consent have been provided. The cancellation right is lost after full performance only where you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that consequence.
8. Purchases made in person and trade orders
We do not offer change-of-mind returns for purchases concluded at our business premises, unless agreed in writing. Your rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.
Orders placed wholly or mainly for business purposes are subject to the agreed trade terms. Consumer cooling-off rights do not apply to business purchases.
