Cookie Policy

About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on telesheds.co.uk, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information more generally.
The website is run by Telesheds Ltd, trading as Telesheds, Newnham Road, Newnham, Nr. Baldock, SG7 5DP. You can contact us at info@telesheds.co.uk or on 01462 671123.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer, phone or tablet. They let the site remember things, such as what is in your basket, or recognise your device when you come back.
We also use similar technologies, such as tracking pixels (tiny pieces of code that tell a service a page has loaded) and your browser’s local storage. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by other companies whose services we use, such as Google and Meta (third-party cookies).
Your choices and consent
We only use strictly necessary cookies without asking. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you agree to them.
- When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- Until you choose, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and the Meta Pixel does not load.
- Google Consent Mode. We use Google Consent Mode, which tells Google’s tags whether you have consented. If you have not, Google Analytics and Google Ads do not set or read cookies on your device. They may send Google basic, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was viewed), which Google uses to estimate total visits and conversions without identifying you.
- Changing your mind. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent stops new cookies being set. You can also delete cookies already stored in your browser settings (see below).
- Your choice is remembered in a small cookie so we don’t ask on every page. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we change the cookies we use.
The types of cookies we use
We group our cookies into three categories. Only the first is set without your consent.
| Category | What it does | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Makes the shop work: keeps items in your basket, runs checkout, keeps your account signed in, protects the site, and remembers your cookie choices. | No. The site can’t work without them. |
| Analytics (Google Analytics) | Tells us how people use the site, such as which pages and products are viewed, where visitors come from, and where they leave. We use this to improve the site. | Yes |
| Marketing (Meta Pixel, Google Ads) | Measures whether our Facebook, Instagram and Google ads lead to enquiries and orders, lets us show our ads to people who have visited the site, and helps Meta and Google show our ads to people likely to be interested. | Yes |
Google Analytics
Google Analytics records information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (town or region). We do not use it to identify you personally. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)
The Meta Pixel tells Meta when you view our pages, submit an enquiry form, or complete an order (including the order value). We use this to measure our ads and to build advertising audiences, for example people who visited our site recently. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may link this activity to your account under its own Privacy Policy. You can also manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
Google Ads
Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tell Google when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to enquire or buy, and let us show ads to people who have visited our site. Google may combine this with information it already holds, under Google’s Privacy Policy. You can manage personalised ads at My Ad Center.

Third parties and international transfers
Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) and Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms, Inc.) receive information from these cookies. Some of it may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. These transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards, as explained in section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
Payments are handled on our payment provider’s secure pages, which may set their own strictly necessary cookies to process your payment and prevent fraud.
Managing cookies in your browser
As well as our Cookie settings link, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, the basket and checkout won’t work.
To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For general information about cookies, see the ICO’s guide to cookies.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we add or remove cookies or tracking tools, and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will ask for your consent again.
